Masquerade in Herceg Novi and surrounding towns has a long tradition and it is an occasion where special attention is also placed on children costumes and messages they are trying to communicate to the community. It specially involves children to participate in creating ideas for a group mask, involvement in making costumes and interacting with other children.
Our masquerade project was implemented with an idea for the children to participate in everything from idea to show and carnival. Twenty children came together to create masks and choreography with focus on environmental problem close to home– sea pollution. The decision to have sea pollution as focus was entirely made by the involved children, who thought it was a important message to make. Our dedicated employees helped the children make their imaginations come true.
The children participated at the masquerade at Feast of mimosa in February 2019 and carnivals in Lastva Grbaljska and International Children’s Carnival in Herceg Novi also held 2019.
We are proud to say that our children won first prize on the Feast om mimosa.
This project was developed with a similar aim as our other project – to give the children ability to improve team spirit, acclaim ownership over projects and show pride in presenting ideas to local community.
We thank Azmont Investment for their generous donation which gave us the possibility to invest in all the equipment used in this project.
